How do we know Heantos is safe and effective?
During almost 20 years of research on Heantos, the Vietnam Institute of Chemistry has cooperated with international scientific institutions in the clarification of Heantos toxicology, chemistry, and mechanisms of action. Clinical studies of Heantos by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) with the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Johns Hopkins University, the Leibniz Institute of Plant Biochemistry and the University of Essen in Germany, have proven its safety and effectiveness as a gentle addiction detoxification. Studies are finding that Heantos shows no abuse potential and significantly ameliorates withdrawals from opiates, most compellingly, addressing naloxone-precipitated withdrawal symptoms in morphine-treated subjects.
In Vietnam, the clinical study in phases I, II, and III, were carried out by the Central Psychiatric Hospital in Hanoi under supervision of the Vietnam Ministry of Health. It was finalized in 2011 with good results. In 2012, the Vietnamese Drug Administration officially issued permission for the production and use of Heantos4.
The use of Heantos4 in many drug addiction treatment centers in Vietnam is showing that Heantos4 is effective in helping patients to sleep through eased withdrawal symptoms, and wake to cravings significantly reduced. With no unwanted side effects observed, Heantos4 is now used for treatment of drug addiction across Vietnam. A recidivism study in a treatment center in Hoa Binh showed that 300 patients (92.5%) were still drug-free three months after Heantos detoxification. The Vietnamese government reports that since 1991, over 9,000 heroin, opium, and cocaine addicts have been successfully treated with Heantos4. It has been proven to be completely nontoxic and non-addictive. It doesn’t affect heart rate, blood pressure, the heart, or liver. It has no side effects. Finally, we have a solution that is completely safe.
